Five months before Molly O’Halloran was due to wed her ex-fiance, she decided to surprise him one night at work – only to get the shock of her life herself.

“I had planned my whole wedding, was head over heels in love and then I surprised my fiance at work and caught another woman bent over the desk,” the 26-year-old explains.

The Melbourne occupational therapist is one of three leading ladies on Binge’s new reality TV series FBoy Island, hosted by Abbie Chatfield.

Along with DJ Sophie Blackley, 26, and model Ziara Rae, 21, O’Halloran is tasked with dating a group of men and weeding out the FBoys from the Nice Guys.

If you have already watched the first two episodes, you would know O’Halloran is the most untrusting and won’t tolerate any FBoy behaviour.

When news.com.au visited the set in February, she explained why: she had been screwed over by “the ultimate f*** boy” just a couple of months earlier.

“We had sex four hours before I caught him. I had no idea. I was completely blindsided,” she said.

“I had just gone with his mum to buy her dress for the wedding and my dress was getting made. I had literally planned everything.”

O’Halloran said her ex-fiancé’s excuse was that he was “stressed” and he admitted he made a big mistake.

However, an apology and two dozen long-stem roses was not going to change her mind.

She says the silver lining was that she did not marry him.

“Something drew me there that night. I wanted to go and see him and it was a pretty s**t experience, but I’m glad it happened the way it did,” she said.

“I saw with my own eyes exactly what was happening and it was a really easy decision for me to make.”

O’Halloran said her friends and family were worried about her signing up for the show, but she wanted to join the “experiment” to put herself out there again.

“Ultimately I’m here to find love, call out bad behaviour, to call out the FBoys and go, ‘All right, that’s s**t, that’s not OK. We don’t stand for that anymore,’” she said.

“We don’t have to take a back seat just because we’re women, f**k that.”

O’Halloran said the only thing she could control was her reaction to the situation and that she was not going to let past trauma prevent her from forming decent relationships.

The first two episodes of FBoy Island Australia are now streaming on BINGE.
