Viewers were given a first look at BINGE’s upcoming original documentary series, The Postcard Bandit, with the adrenaline-charged trailer released on Wednesday.

The doco, which airs on BINGE on January 7, explores the true story of Australia’s most notorious bank robber, Brenden Abbott – a man who held up more than 40 banks in a crime spree that spanned across the country for a decade.

Produced and directed by Stephen McCallum, the compelling two-part series delivers unprecedented access and exclusive footage of Abbott as he speaks for the very first time about his life on the run after escaping maximum security prison twice.

Abbott apparently scored the nickname The Postcard Bandit after rumours emerged that he posed for photos and sent them to police to troll them during his time on the run.
