Inspired from the magic of fairy godmothers and glamorous balls, Toowoomba bespoke jewellery designers Ryley Jewellery Creations has taken the city’s homegrown production of Cinderella to the next level, launching a limited-edition custom collection adorning the show’s leading character.

Shannon Gralow plays the leading role of Ella in the upcoming Empire Theatre’s production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella, and as part of her costume will showcase a custom made palladium silver tiara featuring 9 carats of round amethyst and a 30ct pear shaped amethyst designed by Ryley Jewellery Creations.

The collection also includes a palladium silver stacker ring with lab grown diamonds, pear shaped amethyst studs, and a pear shaped amethyst pendant with lab grown diamonds and no more than 20 copies will be made, a press release from the Empire Theatre said.

The collection was launched on Friday, March 8 and was modelled by Ms Gralow in a collaboration with the jewellery designers and the Empire Theatre.

Ryley Jewellery Creations creative director Ewen Ryley said he had been looking for opportunities to collaborate with the theatre since their 2.5 millionth ticket giveaway of a pendant, custom-designed and inspired by the building’s architecture in 2023.

“The collection is created from a new silver alloy, which acts and looks more like white gold; it is fine, elegant and can be worn for any occasion,” Mr Ryley said.

“This collaboration is the perfect way to celebrate this wonderful production and provides our audiences with a unique opportunity to take a piece of the enchanted world they will see on stage home with them,” Empire Theatre general manager Giuliana Bonel said.

Cinderella opens on March 16.
