Australian reality TV star Angie Kent has been charged with mid-range drink driving.

The 31-year-old former The Bachelorette and Gogglebox TV personality was arrested in Sydney on October 3 after being pulled over at an RBT on her way to a picnic, The Daily Telegraph reports.

She was taken to Day Street Police Station where she recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.081.

Queensland-based Kent, who is currently filming the upcoming season of Channel 7’s Dancing With The Stars in Sydney, is scheduled to appear at Sydney’s Downing Centre Local Court on October 27.

A NSW police statement said: “About 4.45pm on Sunday 3 October 2021, officers attached to Sydney City Police Area Command stopped a grey Kia Cerato at the on ramp to the Anzac Bridge, Pyrmont, for the purpose of a random breath test.

“The driver of the Kia – a 31-year-old woman with a QLD driver’s licence – was breath tested at the scene and provided a positive reading.

“She was arrested and taken to Day Street Police Station where she submitted a breath analysis reading of 0.081.

“The woman was issued a Field Court Attendance Notice for mid-range PCA and her driving privileges in NSW were suspended.”

Kent, who regularly photos posts on Instagram, has been unusually quiet on social media over the last few weeks, having only posted once in the space of a month.

She shared a photo from behind the scenes of DWTS on September 19, before returning to Instagram last week with a video to promote her podcast, Two Girls One Pod.

Kent shot to fame on Gogglebox Australia in 2015, before going on to star in I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! in 2019.

She also starred on the 2019 season of The Bachelorette, where she chose Carlin Sterrit at the final rose ceremony. However, the pair split shortly after the finale aired.

After the break-up, Kent revealed during an interview on The Kyle and Jackie O show that she is pansexual.

She said that she “falls in love with a person, not the gender”.

The confession urged radio host Kyle Sandilands to ask, “Have you ever been with a woman?”

“No I haven’t, but I always said that I’d fall in love with a person, not the gender,” Kent replied.

“I’ve always said since I was younger, I fall in love with the soul rather than a gender.”

Kyle’s radio host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson then asked the reality star if she meant she were pansexual, with Kent confirming that she was.

The definition of a pansexual is someone who is attracted to someone regardless of their sex or identity.

“There you go, I’ve got a label. I think it comes down to chemistry,” Kent clarified.

In addition to her reality TV commitments, she is also trying her hand at acting, landing a role in the feature film The Possessed.

Kent will star in the movie alongside John Jarratt, Melissa Tkautz, Alli Simpson and former Bachelor star Romy Poulier, among several others such as Lincoln Lewis, Sean Lynch, Maha Wilson, Lauren Grimson, Simone Buchanan, Jade Kevin Foster and Melissa Bell.

“My manager asked if I’d like to audition for this film, and I thought, ‘Why not give it a red hot go?’

“I didn’t think I’d get it. I had to be really quite frightened in the audition, and you know what? Why not. Life’s for living and I love a good adventure,” Angie told Studio 10 in October 2020.
