US actor Megan Fox clapped back at a social media user after being questioned about the whereabouts of her children.

Earlier this week, the 36-year-old actor posted a series of selfies on Instagram, writing, “Pick me energy.”

While most of the comments were positive, one fan wrote, “Where your kids at?”

The Transformers star gave a sarcastic response to the mum-shamer, writing, “Wait wait wait. I … have kids?!?

“Oh my god I knew I forgot something! Quick, someone call the valet at the Beverly Hills Hotel.

“That’s the last place I remember seeing them. Maybe someone turned them into lost and found.”

Fox shares three children Noah, 10, Bodhi, 8, and Journey, 6, with ex-husband Brian Austin Green.

While the starlet has been an open book about her life, including her relationship with fiance Machine Gun Kelly, she has chosen to keep her kids out of the spotlight.

Back in April, Fox opened up to Glamour UK about the challenges of being a working mum.

“It is hard, because I travel for long periods of time and they have to attend school, which is what it is,” she told the outlet.

“I wish I could take them out to travel with me, it would make things a lot easier.”

Fox confessed that she sometimes breaks down in tears when she’s away from her kids.

“I get in the bath and cry a lot about it because it is hard and not because of pressures that anybody else or society puts on you, but it is just hard being separated from them in that way,” she added. “They are my DNA.”

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles star went on to say that “it’s hard to not feel obligated to be with them all the time or to constantly feel like I’m not doing a good enough job”.

“But I’m also separated from their father. So, I can only have them half of the time. That just is what it is,” she said.

“And in some ways that allows me to have moments for myself, where I can live my life as me, not just always being someone’s mother and that’s nice, but you always struggle with the guilt, kind of feeling like, ‘I haven’t done enough.’”
