Leading motocross rider Pat Bowden is set to sail through Toowoomba skies after overcoming major injury and undergoing a year of rehabilitation and physio.
The Queensland-based world champion, regarded as one of the country’s best FMX riders, has performed all over the world including in the US, UK, Europe, New Zealand, China, Mexico and Papua New Guinea.
Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic the rider suffered a severe crash in Europe, tearing all the ligaments off his wrist and undergoing multiple surgeries.
The rider is back performing some of his biggest tricks and is set to star in the internationally-acclaimed Freestyle Kings’ upcoming Queensland shows, kicking off in Toowoomba on Friday.
Freestyle Kings’ Josh Hannah said the two-hour event would offer Toowoomba something it hadn’t seen.
“Audiences in regional Queensland don’t normally get to experience a performance of this level, which is normally reserved for major stadiums around the world, so we’re happy we can now bring the tour home,” Mr Hannah said.
In addition to Pat Bowden, the show will feature 11 other Australian riders including 14-year-old rider Ryley Davis, the youngest person ever to perform with Freestyle Kings, and X Games gold medallist Rob Adelberg.
Tickets for the Toowoomba show at the Clive Berghofer Stadium can be purchased via the Ticketek website.
The motocross show will start at 7.30pm with ticket holders welcomed in from 5.30pm for a meet and greet with the stars.
