Proving the best in town five times over, Toowoomba’s best mechanics are still humbled by their success.
In a landslide win, Toowoomba Total Mechanical have taken home the title of Toowoomba’s Best Mechanic, as voted by Chronicle readers, for the fifth time in nine years.
Owners Michael Telford and James Cornford opened their workshop just under two decades ago, hoping to become the go-to car gurus for Toowoomba locals.
“The Toowoomba community has always been supportive of our workshop,” Mr Telford said.
“We constantly aim to bring a high level of value to each customer.”
Mr Telford credited an extended team of experts for his shop’s success.
“Toowoomba is fortunate to have many good independent workshops, often specialising in various areas of our industry,” he said.
“Part of this award belongs to them; subcontractors are often the unsung heroes of the industry – yet they are integral in achieving mutual success.”
Despite years at the top, the novelty of winning has not dimmed for the Total Mechanical team.
“We are thrilled,” Mr Telford said.
“To be considered among some of the best shops in town is humbling.
“Being voted Toowoomba’s best mechanic is very nice indeed.”
Toowoomba Total Mechanical took home the crown with 9 per cent of the vote; followed by Liebke Tyres and Mechanical with five per cent and Phil from Bothwell Motors, Pro Care Mechanical Services and Advanced Service Centre all with 4 per cent of the vote.
