Chris Hemsworth reveals X-rated detail about nude Thor scene

Chris Hemsworth strips off completely in the latest Thor movie, as he revealed an awkward behind the scenes detail about his nude moment.

Chris Hemsworth claimed Russell Crowe was “also naked” during his nude scene in Marvel’s upcoming Thor movie.

The actor, 38, revealed his fellow Aussie comrade, 58, was trying to make him comfortable while shooting the full-frontal scene for Thor: Love and Thunder, by also stripping off.

“He does a great thing where he’s also naked from the waist down. That made me feel at ease,” Hemsworth joked on The Project Monday night.

Not to be left out, director Taika Waititi also said he was naked during filming.

“On set, it’s an agreement we have. I was naked too,” Waititi quipped.

In the scene, Crowe’s character ‘Zeus’ is seen magically flicking off Thor’s clothing, leaving him butt-naked in front of a crowd of onlookers.

As for how he concealed his modesty from the hundreds of people on-set, Hemsworth revealed on the Channel 10 show he was wearing “just a sock” as a “modesty garment”.

Hemsworth joked Russell Crowe was also naked ‘from the waist down’.

Waititi, who also wrote the movie, said it made sense to give Hemsworth a nude scene given he “works so hard” to stay in shape.

“We had talked about, ‘Yeah, we gotta show off this body,’ Waititi added to Variety.

“My whole thing was like, Chris works so hard, you’ve gotta show it off. Don’t cover it up with all these suits and the cape and stuff, it’s not fair!’”

Hemsworth and Waititi hit the red carpet in Sydney on Monday night for the premiere of Thor: Love and Thunder, which was shot in Australia last year.

Natalie Portman, Chris Pratt and Matt Damon are among the star-studded co-stars.

The movie premieres in Australian theatres on July 7.
