A member of Pink’s entourage reportedly described her entry denial at a popular Sydney venue as a “disaster” – as it’s revealed what she did next.

So what, she’s still a rock star.

Pink shrugged off being denied entry to a popular waterfront venue on Sydney’s northern beaches Monday night, before heading around the corner with her entourage to dine at a different establishment.

The US musician, 44, had made a booking for herself and around eight members of her entourage at Manly 16ft Skiff Sailing Club, where she was brutally denied entry because she didn’t bring identification.

While onlookers said Pink didn’t make a big deal about the situation, she later showed up at craft brewery 4 Pines some 600m away, where a member of her group told staff they experienced a “disaster” at another venue, 4 Pines Manly manager Harriet told 2GB.

“I couldn’t believe it when she just walked in the door,” Harriet told Drive host Chris O’Keefe.

“A member of her team, I think it was her assistant, she came in and was like, ‘Hi, I’m in a group of 15, is it OK if we sit at the table?’ And I said go for it. And she was like ‘Oh thank you, we were just refused entry somewhere else, it was a bit of a disaster and I’m with Pink and her team and we’d love to come in for some food’. I had to pick my jaw off the floor and wanted to know I heard it correctly.

“They just wandered on in. Pink was so chill. Everyone was so chill. Pink ordered a cocktail. And then they ordered loads of food, all the kids were happy, all the friends and family there were having a great time.”

Harriet also confirmed Pink left a generous tip.

Pink’s rejection made national headlines on Thursday, with Manly Skiff Club Secretary Manager Matt Hazell quickly issuing an apology, stating the venue would review its entry regulations.

The Registered Clubs Act 1976 requires visitors of Clubs to provide an ID proving their address to gain temporary membership.

Manly Market manager Mark Eymes was one of several people who said they witnessed the awkward encounter while waiting in line at the harbourside hotspot.

“I overheard her saying that she had a booking, but when they asked her to provide her ID, she said she didn’t have any on her,” he told The Manly Observer.

“They said she couldn’t come in without it, even though she explained that she’d already secured her booking with a deposit.”

Mr Eymes said he even tried to help Pink – real name is Alecia Beth Moore – by informing several Skiff Club directors and the floor manager that the star was at the entrance and about to be turned away.

“Next thing, I saw Pink and her group walking away. They just turfed her out,” Mr Eymes said.

“Not once did she throw her weight around. She was really pleasant despite being a little upset that she couldn’t come in. It was just such a shame and I felt a little embarrassed that a solution couldn’t be found.”

Mr Hazell said while the Skiff Club regretted not giving Pink the chance to experience “the best food and hospitality Sydney has to offer”, their commitment to abiding by strict rules came first.

“As a 100-year-old sailing club, we have policies to ensure all patrons are signed in correctly,” he said.

“However, there was a misunderstanding, and we regret any embarrassment or frustration caused.

“We appreciate Pink’s graciousness and hope to welcome her back soon,” he added, before inviting the star to return for a “sail on one of our skiffs”.

Pink was in Sydney this week as part of her Summer Carnival stadium tour.

She is now in Queensland, and will perform at Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium this weekend.

After that, she’s booked for the Gold Coast and will then travel south to Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium, Adelaide Oval in Adelaide, and finish up at Optus Stadium in Perth before heading to New Zealand.

For this tour, she’s brought along the whole family: husband Carey Hart, and their two kids, Willow, 12, and James, 7.
