Screen siren Elizabeth Hurley has spoken out over long-held speculation she was the “older woman” that took Prince Harry’s virginity.
Harry, 39, revealed his encounter in his 2023 memoir, with the excerpt becoming a hot topic after his book release.
The British actress, 58, set the record straight during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.
“That was ludicrous!” Hurley said, in response to a fan’s question.
“He said, ‘She was English. She was older than me. It was in Gloucestershire.’ And they were like, ‘Ah, it’s Elizabeth.’
“It was absurd. It was ridiculous,” she added.
“It was like saying, ‘He’s great-looking. He’s American.’ Oh, it’s Andy Cohen.”
Putting an end to the gossip once and for all, Hurley revealed, “I’ve never met him in my life.”
Harry wrote in his book that he was aged 17 when he first had sex with an older lover.
The one-off encounter took place in a meadow behind the car park of the historic Vine Tree Inn in Norton, Wiltshire, in July 2001.
“Inglorious episode, with an older woman. She liked horses, quite a lot, and treated me not unlike a young stallion,” he wrote in Spare.
“Quick ride, after which she’d smacked my rump and sent me off to graze.”
“Among the many things about it that were wrong: It happened in a grassy field behind a busy pub. Obviously, someone had seen us,” Harry continued.
Last year British woman Sasha Walpole, 40, claimed she was the woman the woman that had sex with virgin Prince Harry behind a pub.
Harry and Sasha knew each other from when she worked as a stable girl at Highgrove, the country retreat of King Charles, and previously enjoyed trips to polo matches together.
The pair had sex after leaving a party held at the pub to mark Sasha’s 19th birthday.
MEGHAN’S ‘PERFECT EXCUSE’ TO REFUSE KATE REUNION
Meghan Markle has the “perfect excuse” to decline a rumoured invitation to Britain from none other than the Prince and Princess of Wales, according to a royal expert.
Prince William and Princess Catherine are believed to have asked the Sussexes to bring their children with them the next time they visit the UK, but apparently, Meghan has declined the offer.
“Meghan isn’t obviously keen on visiting Britain because she is not popular here. Nor is Harry, but it’s different for him. She’s asked for this,” royal commentator and historian Richard Fitzwilliams told The Sun.
“If she comes there will be a huge amount of adverse publicity because of the way she has acted for the past four years. On top of that, you have the issue of Archie and Lilibet — who are completely blameless.”
Fitzwilliams also said now that the Sussexes lost their bid for taxpayer-funded UK security protection would also be an “excuse” not to visit.
“The security would be decided on a case-by-case basis, they would make sure the trip was secure from the point of view of the UK,” he continued.
“I think security could be used as an excuse not to come though.”
“Meghan has every right to come but they have been thrown out of Frogmore Cottage and for a good reason,” Fitzwilliams added.
“Spare and the interviews around it were horrible frankly. She has the perfect excuse not to come over because Harry has lost his security case.”
The Waleses have had a years-long rift with the Sussexes, but it was recently reported that the pair may be looking to bury the hatchet once and for all.
Princess Kate was all for the idea of seeing Archie and Lilibet in England, but the Duchess of Sussex, 42, wasn’t so keen, royal author Tom Quinn said this week.
“There is no way Meghan would bring the children to the UK,” Quinn told The Mirror.
“William and Kate have suggested that Meghan and Harry bring the children and that the two couples and their families try to make up, but the suggestion is not leading anywhere so far.”
Archie and Lilibet were last in Britain for the late Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in June 2022.
Ms Markle returned in September that year for the Queen’s funeral.
The couple did not bring their children with them over safety concerns, as the Sussexes were stripped of taxpayer-funded UK security protection. This means the pair will pay out of pocket for their security when in Britain.
MEGHAN AND BEYONCE’S MUM HANG OUT
Meghan Markle’s mother Doria Ragland has posed alongside Beyoncé’s mum Tina Knowles as they stepped out to a Los Angeles art event hosted by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
Newly released photos showed the two celebrity mums rubbing shoulders with several influential figures at the Prince Harry and Ms Markle’s gathering held to celebrate The Kinsey African-American Art and History Collection last month.
It’s not the first time she has been spotted getting friendly with a famed “momager” – as she also spent time with Kardashian matriarch Kris Jenner and Kim Kardashian at an event in Los Angeles last year.
Ragland, who also counts Oprah Winfrey as a friend, continues to move up in Hollywood’s A-list circles with industry insiders suggesting she’s now part of a “power clique” along with Knowles and Jenner.
As Ragland’s daughter gets set to launch her lifestyle brand, the 67-year-old plays a key role in the Sussexes’ life as grandmother to Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
Dressed in an understated white cardigan, she put her arm around 70-year-old Knowles who has long been a driving force behind the careers of superstar daughters Beyoncé and Solange, and she was also instrumental in forming Destiny’s Child, the band in which her eldest daughter made her name.
The Sussexes famously struck up a friendship with Beyoncé and her husband Jay-Z, real name Shawn Carter, following their Brit Awards acceptance speech in 2019 in which they praised the royals.
The foursome then enjoyed a reunion that July when the Carters were in London for the premiere of The Lion King, which Beyonce starred in.
More recently, the Sussexes and Ragland were seen enjoying Beyonce’s Renaissance world tour when it made stops in Los Angeles.
Elsewhere in the photos, the Sussexes showed no hint of the strain engulfing the Royal Family as they posed with various figures from the industry and in solo shots.
The Sussexes’ detailed their involvement with the collection on their website, stating that they “discussed the history and significance of black art and how our communities can work together to preserve this vital piece of American history.”
MEGHAN CHANNELS DIANA
It comes as Ms Markle channelled her late mother-in-law Princess Diana during a visit to a children’s hospital in which she led a story time session in a $5000 dress.
The Duchess of Sussex, 42, stunned patients and staff at the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles as she enthusiastically read books and joined in activities including colouring and counting numbers.
The mother-of-two and author of children’s book The Bench was dressed in a luxurious Oscar De La Renta silk-chiffon dress which retails for £2,776 ($A5360).
Eagle-eyed fans noted Meghan has previously worn the outfit in photos seen in the bombshell Netflix series, Harry & Meghan.
She paired the outfit with a pair of £595 ($A1148) black pumps from Italian brand Aquazzura, which she has also been spotted in before.
Meghan also wore a black face mask in keeping with Covid-safe rules around health facilities.
In footage of the visit, Meghan revealed Rosie Revere, Engineer was “one of my favourites”.
The children’s book, by Andrea Beaty and illustrator David Roberts, is about pursuing one’s passion with persistence and learning to celebrate each failure on the road to achieving one’s dreams.
The Suits alumni put her acting skills to good to use changing the tone and pitch of her voice and gesturing along with the stories.
The child patients yelled out answers and sang along as Meghan read Pete the Cat and His Four Groovy Buttons.
“This was a great choice, friends,” she said as she closed the book and declared, “The end.”
Meghan happily posed for photos with the children and was spotted telling a young girl how “neat” an instant camera image was.
“Children were laughing and singing as The Duchess turned into character with every page as she read patient favourite books like Rosie the Riveter, Pete the Cat and I Saw a Cat,” according to a statement.
The appearance is being compared to Princess Diana’s famous 1989 trip to the pediatric AIDS unit at Harlem Hospital.
“These children were so very, very ill, and, at the time, not much was known about how to assist them. It was just really heartbreaking. There was so much misinformation about AIDS that people believed: You couldn’t touch a doorknob or sit on a toilet or you would get it,” Gwen Elliot-McIntosh, a Harlem Hospital administrator who encountered Diana at the time, told Page Six in 2020.
“Diana picked up a baby and looked at the baby like there was no one else in the room … She talked to [the children] and hugged them. She gave them love.”
Meghan’s story time was part of the Make March Matter campaign, an annual fundraiser at the hospital that aims to create hope and build healthier futures with the help of ‘celebrities, business and the greater community’.
