Kate found royal walkabout with Harry and Meghan ‘hard’

The two royal couples put on a united front for this walkabout after the Queen’s death – now, Kate’s real feelings have been revealed.

Will Meghan Markle, Prince Harry and Andrew attend King Charles’ coronation?

Kate Middleton allegedly said her walkabout with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle after Queen Elizabeth II’s death was the “hardest” thing she’s had to do.

Veteran royal correspondent Robert Jobson claims in his upcoming new book, Our King, that the Princess of Wales felt uncomfortable because of the “ill feeling” between the couples.

“Catherine later admitted to a senior royal that, such was the ill feeling between the two couples, the joint walkabout was one of the hardest things she’d ever had to do,” Jobson writes, per the Daily Mail.

Middleton and Prince William’s appearance with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex took place two days after Queen Elizabeth II died at age 96 in September 2022.

Dressed in all black, the former “Fab Four” greeted wellwishers and viewed the flowers placed outside the gates of Windsor Castle in the late monarch’s honour.

Despite what appeared to be a reconciliation, Jobson reports it was merely an “illusion” put on by the siblings and their wives.

A body language expert previously told Page Six that Markle, 41, appeared to show her “inner anxiety” while participating in the walkabout.

“Meghan looked like a woman waiting for her cues rather than pushing herself forward,” Judi James said of the former Suits actress.

James added that Markle’s “frequent hair flicking” during the walkabout “suggested some inner anxiety.”

A second expert told us that the Archewell co-founder appeared to be racked with “fear” as she had been booed during the Platinum Jubilee.

“There is no question that she was in fear, as she hung on to Harry’s hand for dear life as they walked together,” Dr. Lillian Glass explained.

“She was serious and even stood back when Harry was speaking to someone. Usually, she is front and centre, but the fact that she hung back was very telling of her fear.”

The feud within the family has only worsened since the Queen’s funeral in September, as the red-headed royal, 38, released his bombshell, tell-all memoir, Spare, in January, which detailed a physical fight with William, 40, as well as claims that King Charles III joked about Harry’s “real” father.

Despite the bad blood, Page Six exclusively revealed that the Sussexes and Buckingham Palace are finalising plans for them to attend King Charles’ coronation in May.

“There have been lengthy discussions between the Sussexes and the palace, there is a time crunch on this, of course,” an insider shared.

“It’s such a historical event and it’s hoped that Harry and Meghan will be there.”

The decision ultimately lies in Harry’s hands, with one highly placed source admitting, “All families are difficult, but this is no normal family, of course.

“Harry has a lot of questions about how the event will work.”
