Jackie ‘O’ Henderson name drops ‘needy’ Hollywood celebrity

The Aussie radio host has dished details on a “needy” Hollywood celebrity she had dinner with in Los Angeles.

Famous or anonymous: Who would Jackie O Date?

Jackie ‘O’ Henderson has revealed she was surprised to discover a major Hollywood star was “needy”.

The KIIS radio host recalled having dinner in Los Angeles, California with Sex and the City actor Chris Noth, alongside her co-host Kyle Sandilands, several years ago.

While she admits she “enjoyed” spending time with Noth, now 69, Henderson said the TV star was “desperate” to organise further catch-ups with Sandilands.

“I just was surprised that he was quite needy. Like, he was a needy guy,” Henderson, 49, said.

“He was so desperate to hang out with Kyle for a coffee the next day. He’s like, ‘Be my coffee buddy. Will we be coffee buddies?’ I thought, ‘Surely this guy has his own friends. He’s [Mr] Big!’”

Sandilands, 53, added in further detail Noth’s eagerness to be mates, saying the actor wanted to schedule daily coffee dates with him.

“He said, ‘Well, every day we commit to meeting at a place at the same time. Monday through Friday, every day. Let’s say 11am, we all meet.’ And I thought, ‘Bro, I can’t commit. I can’t commit to a daily coffee.’”

Henderson remembered thinking Noth’s behaviour was “strange”.

“I thought someone like him surely would have great friends that he could catch up with,” she said.

Meanwhile, the mother-of-one is preparing to release her debut memoir The Whole Truth in October.

Announcing the news on-air in August, Henderson promised to detail her failed marriages with former radio host Phil O’Neil, aka Ugly Phil, and photographer Lee Henderson, the father of her 13-year-old daughter, Kitty.

“There’s just a lot. I wouldn’t even know where to start,” she said when asked of the contents of her memoir, which comes out on October 29.

“Like, there’s things in there that I’ve never talk about, because I just haven’t felt like I am ready to talk about them. Obviously, I go into [past marriages] but that’s not, you know, it’s just a lot of things.

“All the things you’ve wanted to know are in there now.”
