Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell reignite dating rumours in flirty TV interview

Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell have reignited swirling dating reports after sitting down for a very flirty live TV interview.

Glen Powell and Sydney Sweeney are never beating those romance rumours.

The co-stars refuelled dating speculation after Hoda Kotb brought up their palatable chemistry on and off the screen while appearing on the Today show to promote their new movie, Anyone But You.

When the US host asked the two if they immediately knew they “had chemistry” at their first table read, the pair looked at one another before bursting into laughter.

Between giggles, Sweeney sheepishly replied, “Yeah.”

Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell were in fits of giggles throughout the TV chat.

Kotb kept prying, asking the pair if there was “a little romance” going on between them.

This time it was Powell who took the reins as Sweeney, once again, couldn’t contain her laughter.

“No, but we do love each other. And, honestly, this is one of the most spectacular humans I’ve ever met,” he replied while looking into Sweeney’s eyes. “She’s really great.”

The pair star in the upcoming rom-com, Anyone But You, which was shot in Australia in early 2023.

Despite the Top Gun: Maverick star, 35, denying the romance, Kotb told the pair they “look so cute together.”

Yet the interview left many fans with even more questions about the pair’s very close relationship, especially given the fact that Sweeney, is 26, engaged to Jonathan Davino.

Today host Hoda Kotb questioned the duo over romance rumours.

“Shouldn’t she just say ‘I’m engaged’ tho?,” one fan asked, to which another agreed, “The way she laughs after she asked if it was a little romance but didn’t deny it or say she’s engaged …”

Meanwhile, a third person pointed out that Sweeney and Powell were sitting close enough that their “shoulders were touching.”

The actors’ friendship has been under the microscope ever since they started filming the rom-com in Sydney, Australia earlier this year.

The rumours gained traction in April after Powell, 35, split from his then-girlfriend Gigi Paris after she unfollowed him and Sweeney on Instagram.

Then earlier this month, Powell gushed about his chemistry with Sweeney, 26, during an interview withEntertainment Tonight, saying that “Sydney is the easiest person to have chemistry with.”

“We make each other laugh. She’s awesome, obviously one of the most talented actresses we have,” Powell told the outlet.

“This movie has felt like a rom-com in itself because Sydney is very easy to pretend fall in love with.”

Anyone But You hits cinemas on Boxing Day.

However, the Euphoria actress shot down speculation that there was actually anything romantic going on between the two in August.

“It’s a rom-com,” she told Variety. “That’s what people want! Glen and I don’t really care. We have so much fun together, and we respect each other so much; he’s such a hard worker, and I’m a hard worker.”

Sweeney says she and Powell started leaning into the narrative as a promotional tool.

“They want it,” she said of the media frenzy surrounding their relationship. “It’s fun to give it to ’em.”
