Former MAFS star Davina Rankin splits from husband Jaxon Manuel after one year of marriage

After exchanging vows in a glamorous ceremony one year ago, controversial MAFS star Davina Rankin and her husband have quietly called it quits.

Controversial Married At First Sight star Davina Rankin has split from her husband, Jaxon Manuel, just one year after their glamorous wedding.

The former MAFS star confirmed the news on Instagram Stories overnight, addressing speculation their marriage was over.

“Relationships are hard,” Rankin wrote alongside a photo of the sun setting on a beach. “Given the recent speculation, I feel like I need to confirm that Jax and I have separated.”

“I will at some point discuss this further, but my current focus is learning to navigate my new normal while providing a seamless and loving transition into co-parenting for our daughter.”

The couple started dating shortly after her controversial appearance on season 5 of MAFS in 2018, although they initially met at a nightclub seven years prior.

By November 2019, the couple welcomed a daughter, Mila-Mae, and in 2021 they became engaged.

“I guess 30 isn’t looking too bad after all,” she wrote alongside a photo of her engagement ring shared on Instagram at the time.

In April last year, after four years of dating, the Queensland-based couple were married in front of 100 guests just over the NSW border at the picturesque Fins at Plantation House on the Tweed Coast.

However, just months later in August, Manuel – a Gold Coast business owner – stopped appearing on Rankin’s social media posts. And in December, she shared a pointed post about finding herself.

“2022 has been the biggest year of spiritual and mental growth for me and for the first time in my life I can finally hear the whispers of my heart,” she wrote.

Rankin now no longer follows Manuel on Instagram.

The reality star turned wellness author was a controversial part of season 5 of MAFS, where an emotional cheating scandal saw her pursue a relationship with fellow participant Dean Wells, all while she was matched with Ryan Gallagher.
