The 40-year-old actress announced the news on Sunday, sharing a gorgeous photo on Instagram of the couple kissing while on holiday in Dubai.

“Ummmm so this happened ...#Engaged #Dubai #Happiness,” the Desperate Housewives star wrote, flashing an enormous ruby ring in the pic.

Longoria and the 47-year-old businessman first stepped out together as an item in November 2013, with the brunette beauty admitting that her beau, who is the president of TV company Televisa, makes her happier than ever before.

“He’s been sweeping her off her feet and courting her like a proper gentleman,” a source told People magazine of their fresh romance in 2013.

The engagement news may come as a surprise to fans, since Longoria ruled out heading down the aisle for a third time, declaring that “marriage and kids are not on the horizon.”

Longoria was previously married to actor Christopher Tyler, before the relationship broke up in 2004.

She later tied the knot with basketball player Tony Parker in 2007, but the pair divorced in 2011.
