Bebe Rexha announces she’s single again after leaking boyfriend’s ‘fat’ texts

Bebe Rexha has given a relationship update, after the singer went viral sharing alleged texts from her boyfriend about her weight.

Singer Bebe Rexha has broken down in tears and confirmed that she’s broken up with her long-time boyfriend.

Rexha, 33, was in the middle of a concert in London when she announced that she’d ended things with her boyfriend, producer Keyan Safyari, 38.

“I just went through a break-up, so I might get a little emotional, and you need to help me,” she told the crowd before performing her emotional ballad, ‘Atmosphere’.

The song contains emotional lyrics, like, “I can’t blame myself for getting lost inside the promise of you, and I can’t blame you leaving.”

It wasn’t all doom and gloom though. Later she even joked to the audience that she was looking for a “new boyfriend”.

The break-up isn’t exactly a huge surprise — Rexha recently went viral for leaking alleged texts between the pair in which Safyari complained about her weight gain.

She shared a screenshot of a text message on social media without any context, and it quickly went viral.

The photo isn’t available on her social media anymore but it went viral on Twitter thanks to the pop culture account PopCrave.

In the message, the sender writes that he never said he did love the singer but that he was always going to be “honest” with her.

“Your face was changing, so I told you it was … that was the conversation we were having, and you asked,” it reads.

“Would you rather I lied to you? You gained 35 pounds, obviously, you gained weight and your face changed? Should I just pretend it didn’t happen and that it’s OK? Come on, I gained three pounds, and you called me chubbs and fat. That doesn’t mean you don’t love me.”

The text concludes with the sender suggesting that Rexha attend therapy or a retreat but adds that he still “loves” her.

Rexha uploaded that text exchange just after she’d spoken out against the scrutiny surrounding her recent weight gain.

“I know I got fat. I’m just so sick of people talking about it. Next!!!!” she tweeted in June.

She spoke about it further when she appeared on The Jennifer Hudson Talk Show and attributed her weight gain to being diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome, a common hormone imbalance.

She revealed that getting online hate wasn’t easy just because her body had changed and that TikTok was filled with it.

“I was a lot thinner, and I did gain some weight — that comes with the territory. I’m not mad about it because it is true, but when you see things like that, it does mess with you.”
