She’s a Gen Z fashion icon, and Addison Rae’s latest baffling outfit confirms her status.
The 23-year-old stepped out of her hotel in New York City alongside a mate, and their outfits were incredible.
The singer wore a white crop top that 90s Britney Spears would be impressed by, low-rise jeans, giant sunglasses, and a furry little hat.
The look was confusing, fashionable, and everything you want a young celebrity to wear.
Not to be outdone by the pop singer, her anonymous mate also pulled together the kind of outfit that would baffle anyone’s mum or dad.
She wore a white crop top, tiny micro shorts, a denim vest, a random bow tied around her thigh, and multiple head coverings.
It’s hard to say if she was wearing two hats or had just wrapped some fabric around her head.
To complete the look, the anonymous blonde also wore pink cowboy boots. How else would she finish off such a slay?
Incredible outfits aside, Rae has really been nailing her pop singer rebrand.
The star shot to fame on TikTok where she amassed millions of views for doing little dances to viral songs.
From there, she starred in a Netflix romantic comedy, which was a little cringe-worthy. It was a remake of She’s All That, but the genders were reversed, and it was titled He’s All That. It was critically panned and has a 28 per cent approval rating on movie review website Rotten Tomatoes.
For a second, it seemed like her career was floundering. She had become so popular on TikTok, with more than 88 million followers, that it seemed she was destined for mainstream fame, but she hadn’t found the right fit to make the transition.
But just when you thought she might fade into obscurity, she came back with a bang.
In August, she released the banger Diet Pepsi, which has been well received as bubblegum pop at its best. She’s been riding that high ever since, with the song going viral on TikTok as well as having traditional chart success.
She’s been hanging out with pop success Charli XCX, who has changed the culture with her use of the word Brat.
Rae has also been the talk of the town. Her two-piece white outfit for the 2024 Video Music Awards might not have been everyone’s favourite, but it was one of the most talked-about looks of the night.
This is the current theme with Rae. Her wild fashion looks are creating a big conversation around the Gen Z superstar, and it is really working for her.
