Dream jobs and career options were on display at the University of Southern Queensland’s Open Day on Sunday, August 15, with prospective students taking the chance to see what the university has to offer.

Year 11 Centenary Heights High School student Connor Weinand said while university was at least another year away, he was keen to see what opportunities were available.

“I’m interested in agriculture or engineering,” the 17-year-old said.

“USQ is close to home and I’ve heard lots of good things about it.”

Mary MacKillop Catholic College students Ashlyn Martin and Cassie Lawson have both been involved in the USQ Head Start program, and said they were both impressed by the lecturers and students.

“The people here are really nice,” Ms Martin said.
