Tanaya Treadwell has been appointed the new Toowoomba Chamber of Commerce chief executive, replacing Todd Rohl.
Chamber vice president Barton Castley said Ms Treadwell was selected from a pool 40 applications after a lengthy recruitment process.
“Tanaya will formally commence in the role on May 15 after most recently serving as
the general manager of Southern Cross Austereo, an Australian media company which
operates broadcast radio and television stations,” he said in a press release.
“Our outgoing chief executive officer will remain in a transitional role until the end of the
financial year, supporting the team as required.
“On behalf of the chamber board, I would like to welcome Tanaya and thank all applicants
who took the time to apply for the position.”
Ms Treadwell said she was honoured to be given the opportunity to join the chamber and continue the exceptional work initiated by Mr Rohl.
“It has been an incredible privilege to work alongside regional SME’s for the majority of my
career and I can think of no greater responsibility than supporting our region’s continued
economic vitality,” Ms Treadwell said.
“I look forward to collaborating with our members, partners and stakeholders to ensure the
business community has a voice.”
