A top finance guru has been named as the Toowoomba Chamber of Commerce’s new vice-president following the resignation of long-serving incumbent Gary Love.

Fortress Financial Solutions founder Chris Black, a proud small business advocate, was revealed as the new member of the chamber’s board.

President Harrison Humphries welcomed the appointment, calling Mr Black a solid choice to fill the big shoes left by Mr Love.

“The board is blessed with outstanding members who all could have filled the large shoes left by Gary Love,” he said.

“I’m pleased to announce that the board appointed financial guru, business advocate, husband and doting dad to three boys, Chris Black.

“A product of Downlands College and founder of Fortress Financial Solutions in Toowoomba, Chris has been recognised as one of the most influential financial advisers in Australia by the Financial Standard.

“Chris is extremely passionate about helping people and businesses reach their potential and the local business community, and was recently appointed as chair of Toowoomba Clubhouse.”
