An 18-year-old man has been charged with murder over the death of a man who was allegedly shot in the doorway of his Canberra home last year.
Glenn Walewicz, 48, was allegedly shot in the chest after he answered the door of his unit at Mansfield place just before midnight on June 10.
Police said a woman was inside the home at the time and phone emergency services but Mr Walewicz could not be saved and died at the scene.
Homicide squad detectives said CCTV footage, phone records and “numerous witnesses” lead to the arrest of the 18-year-old Page man on Sunday.
The young man will face the ACT Children’s Court on Monday, as he was aged 17 at the time of the alleged shooting.
A 19-year-old man was earlier charged with accessory to murder last week after a car, allegedly driven by the teen, was found near MrWalewicx’s home.
He will return to court later this month.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
