Prince George turns 11 as new photo is released for his birthday
The Princess of Wales has released a new picture of her son, taken in Windsor earlier this month.
The Princess of Wales has released a new picture to mark the 11th birthday of her son Prince George today.
Taken in Windsor earlier this month, the black-and-white image shows George wearing a smart suit but no tie and smiling up at the camera.
In the relaxed photograph, the prince wears a friendship bracelet similar to one worn by his sister Princess Charlotte at Wimbledon and the King who was seen wearing a similar bracelet during his visit to Jersey and Guernsey last week.
George, the eldest child of the Prince and Princess of Wales, went to Berlin with his father Prince William to watch England in the Euro 2024 final against Spain.
It has been a difficult year for the family, including the Princess of Wales announcing that she was undergoing cancer treatment. In a statement Kate said she has “good days and bad days”.
She was well enough to attend the King’s Trooping the Colour festival in June and earlier this month she was seen back at work when she presented the trophies at the Wimbledon men’s final.
While William has continued with his royal duties, he has made it clear that his wife’s health comes first.
