I’ve got Lyme disease, says Justin Bieber
Popstar Justin Bieber says his pallid complexion was not down to a drug addiction, but the Lyme disease and glandular fever he suffers from.
Popstar Justin Bieber has told his 124 million Instagram followers that his pallid complexion was not down to a drug addiction, but the Lyme disease and glandular fever he suffers from.
In a post, Bieber, 25, dismissed claims he had been “on meth”.
“They failed to realise that I’ve been recently diagnosed with Lyme disease.” Lyme disease is mostly caused by bacteria from ticks in long grass.
It leads to fatigue, muscle pain and a bull’s-eye rash like the centre of a dartboard. It is usually treated with antibiotics but some patients are stuck with debilitating symptoms for years.
