WASHINGTON: Even his most basic declaration of vital statistics is being described as another Big Lie.

Donald Trump told the Fulton county sheriff’s office in Georgia that his weight was 215lbs (97kg), a remarkable 25lbs less than he reportedly told Manhattan authorities in April.

He said his height was 6ft 3in (1.9m), an increase of an inch on the stature recorded on his New York driving licence.

Within moments of the booking sheet being released on Friday, social media pundits were weighing in. A common theme was comparing Mr Trump to some of the fittest men in America. “Donald Trump is claiming he’s 6’3” and 215lbs. That’s the listed height and weight of Ohio State quarterback Kyle McCord. Not buying it,” wrote one Twitter/X user.

Bill Hallsworth, director of jail and court services for the Georgia Sheriffs’ Association, told The Washington Post: “I know in some of the larger jails, the person doing the data entry is not even looking at the individual. They’re getting the info off of something else and entering it into the computer.”

In a White House physical examination in 2020, Mr Trump was recorded at 244lbs and 6ft 3in, tipping him into an official obesity rating by four pounds.

His weight was listed as 239lbs in his 2018 physical examination by Ronny Jackson, the White House physician who later won a seat in the House of Representatives with Mr Trump’s endorsement. This measurement was a pound under the weight considered obese for a 6ft 3in man.
