TurboJet Oz: Road Test
Imagine a leaf blower that’s shrunk down to the size of a water pistol. Sounds fun, right? That’s the TurboJet Oz.
WHAT IS IT? Imagine a leaf-blower shrunk down to the size of a water pistol. That’s the TurboJet Oz: a pocket-sized, incredibly powerful blower.
SOUNDS FUN. Yes. It was originally designed as a work tool for tradies, as a way to quickly clean a work area of sawdust and other rubbish. But you can use it for so much more.
LIKE WHAT? Drying the dog, getting a camp fire roaring, cleaning dust out of keyboards and other electronics, to name a few. “This small yet mighty tool does it all,” says the team in Geelong who designed it.
VITAL STATISTICS? It has a 180W electric motor that spins a fan inside at up to 130,000rpm. It has three power settings, and offers 20 minutes of use at maximum power. It recharges via a USB cable in about two hours.
I’M ALREADY FANTASISING ABOUT BUYING A TOOL BELT AND HANGING THIS OFF IT LIKE A REVOLVER. That’s the spirit! It’s so satisfying to use, you’ll find yourself looking for jobs to do with it.
