WHAT IS IT? The mother of all party speakers. This thing pumps out an incredible 126 decibels!

HOW LOUD IS THAT? About the same as a screaming jet engine. Certainly enough to make your ears bleed if you’re dancing too close to it.

HOW BIG IS IT? It’s 66cm tall, 43cm wide, and weighs 16kg (calling it “portable” is a stretch, though it does have two carrying handles). It’s robust, and splash-proof.

WHERE ARE THE CORDS? There are none – it connects remotely to your phone via Bluetooth 5, and is powered by a lithium battery that provides up to 40 hours of playback time at mid-volume (or six hours at maximum volume, if you’re planning to drive your neighbours insane.)

IS THE SOUND GOOD? It’s great – detailed and balanced, thanks to the internal hardware: a trio of 72W amplifiers that drive a pair of 10-inch woofers, plus a 1-inch compression drive tweeter.

ANYTHING ELSE? Yes, in a nod to all the Spinal Tap fans out there, the volumne knob actually goes up to 11.
