CATCHY NAME. WHAT IS IT? A “smart” bike helmet.

OH, HERE WE GO. WHAT DOES IT DO – LIVESTREAM YOUR SWEATY, PANTING FACE TO TIKTOK? It’s nothing like that. It’s all about riding safely in the dark.

HOW SO? Bright LEDs in the back of the helmet make you visible from all directions. Helmet sensors detect when you brake, and the lights glow brighter to warn other traffic. The lights even have an indicator function; you use a little remote mounted on the handlebars to indicate your turns, and the LEDs blink left or right accordingly.

VERY COOL. Yes, but that’s not all. In the event of a crash, the helmet – which connects to your smartphone via Bluetooth – will send an SMS alert to your emergency contacts with your GPS position.

ANYTHING ELSE? Yes, in-built speakers above the ears allow you to listen to music or podcasts on the go. You can also press a button to answer calls remotely, and talk clearly via a windproof microphone. Seeing as you asked!
