Road Test: Theragun Wave Roller
Beware, with five speed settings and a three-hour battery life, you might never want to leave home again.
What is it? The latest gizmo from US “tech wellness” firm Theragun. It’s a “smart vibrating foam roller”!
I heard four words but I’m none the wiser. Well, a foam roller is a standard bit of workout kit – you place it on the floor and roll around on it in various ways. But this one shakes ya booty with powerful vibrations, controlled via an app.
Interesting. Yes, it’ll certainly add another dimension to your warm-up or warm-down routine in the gym. Or you can simply use it to “relieve tension” at home, Theragun says.
Relieve tension. How? In their words, it’s “12 inches long and designed for full-body use” – STOP SNIGGERING AT THE BACK! – so you can self-administer a therapeutic massage of back and neck muscles.
Verdict: Oooh, it’s lovely. But beware, with five speed settings and a three-hour battery life, you might never want to leave home again.
