What is it?

Great news for gluttons: it’s a new toasted sandwich maker with extra-deep dishes, so you can pack in an unreasonable amount of filling. Sunbeam calls it the “Toastie with the Mostie”. Give that copywriter a gold star!

What’s the point? It was designed “in response to a consumer trend for more filling in their toasties”. Mmmm.

Is it any good? Take care with your preparation: too much cheese and salad and it’s more like “toastie with the moisty”; too much tomato and you might spend the night in a burns unit. But get the combination right and it’s pretty special.

Any downsides? The dishes are scalloped. You know what that means: pretty patterns on your toastie, and big arguments about whose turn it is to clean up the machine.
