POETIC name! What is it?
The world's largest LED telly, boasting a 90-inch (2.28m) screen. Price: a cool 20 grand.
That's crazy. Is there a TV arms race going on?
Yes, and it's being fuelled by human nature - namely, our primal urge for one-upmanship. A bloke with a 90-inch telly is the top dog, no question. Mind you, he's probably compensating for something.
Is it any good?
The 1080p resolution and 120Hz refresh rate struggle at this size; on close inspection, the HD image is a little grainy, and the motions a little blurry. But the scale is truly impressive. What's the main competition?
LG's new 84-inch Ultra HD TV. It's slightly smaller - but with double the resolution and a better refresh rate, the picture is staggering; it's also four grand cheaper.
The verdict:
If size is everything to you, go for the Sharp. But remember, today's rooster is tomorrow's feather duster: Samsung has developed a 110-inch (2.79m) Ultra HD TV, although there's no word yet on a release date. This arms race isn't nearly over ...
