Road Test: Manicare Magnetic Eyelashes
No one ever says no to longer, thicker lashes, right? Well...
WHAT’S THIS? False eyelashes with a difference: they’re magnetic.
DARE I ASK, HOW? Each lash has three magnetic tabs. You first apply a special eyeliner with “magnetising particles” along your top lash line, then stick the lash to it. Ingenious.
MORE IMPORTANTLY, WHY? No one ever says no to longer, thicker lashes, right? Just ask any cabaret singer, drag queen, Kardashian or anyone wanting to add a dash of glamour to their otherwise drab existence.
NO, WHY MAGNETIC? Ah, I see. Well, as anyone with experience with traditional false eyelashes will tell you, they can be a very messy affair, requiring special eyelash glue.
SO DO THESE WORK? In the short term, yes. You can even feel a subtle magnetic attraction as you put them in place. But over lunch a couple of hours later, both ends of each lash had come unstuck, and they looked more like horizontal caterpillars.
