Road Test: Contour Cube
It’s a device for administering DIY ice facials. If you were really irresponsible, you could fill it with a margarita...
What is it? A device for administering DIY ice facials: simply fill the silicone mould with liquid, freeze it, and it’s good to go!
So it’s like an icy pole that you rub on your face. Yes. Although the Contour Cube people would prefer that you describe it as “the world’s best-kept beauty secret”.
What does it do? It’ll lift your skin, tighten your pores and smooth the bags under your eyes. Remember how radiant you looked after diving face-first into the counter display at the fishmongers? Like that.
Can you use anything besides plain water? Contour Cube suggests trying rose water, green tea, aloe vera or cucumber water. (My hot tip: fill the mould with a margarita. Win-win!)
Anything else? Yes, “discontinue use if signs of irritation appear”, it says. That’s good advice – I used it on the bus and the other passengers were so irritated they started hitting me with rolled-up umbrellas.
