Ororo heated seat cushion: Road Test
Going to a stadium sports match this winter? This rechargeable heated seat cushion will keep you nice and toasty.
WHAT IS IT? Just the thing if you’re going to a stadium sports match this winter. It’s a hotty for your botty!
PLEASE EXPLAIN. THIS BETTER BE CLEAN. It’s a heated seat cushion that packs up small for easy carrying, and offers about five hours on its highest setting (or nine hours on medium) before requiring a recharge via a USB cable.
GENIUS. Yes. It’s 46cm by 38cm, with a water-resistant polyester shell; it folds up into a bundle the size of a sourdough loaf, with a carrying handle. The inside of the cushion is made of, um, that squishy stuff… er… oh goodness, the name of it escapes me.
MEMORY FOAM? That’s it! The heating elements are embedded within the memory foam, which moulds to your shape.
IT SAYS HERE ON THE PACKAGING THAT IT ALSO HAS A “NON-SLIP BOTTOM”. Me too. Arse like sandpaper! But seriously, the 7.4V lithium-ion battery gives it plenty of heating power. And the whole thing weighs only 185g.
VERDICT: Don’t just keep it for sports matches. It’s invaluable for camping, driving and meditating too! Also bobsleigh.
