I’m doing the housework. Look at these slippers! The soles are made of a super-absorbent microfibre, for mopping floors.
You look less than manly. Well, it’s about pulling my weight with the chores. A survey of Australian households with dual breadwinners showed that men do 24.3 per cent less housework than women. Even bearing in mind that 88.7 per cent of statistics are made up on the spot, that’s shameful.
Go on… So the answer is for us to multi-task. And these mop slippers don’t even require a filthy wringer-bucket; I’ll just pop them in the washing machine. Fancy some toast?
