ARE these electrical skin patches really the death knell for Botox?

What is it? The death knell for Botox, says the sales pitch.

How so? There’s no needle, and no pain. Instead, “wrinkle-relaxing neuropeptides” are delivered into your face via electrically charged skin patches. It’s called “iontophoresis”.

Fancy science talk? Tick. Yes, but it’s simple to use. Each disposable patch contains a tiny 3V battery and a coating of serum. Just slap them on your face and chill for 20 minutes.

And? I did only one side of my face (the other being the control; that’s science). The company claims “some women will look as much as 10 years younger” after one treatment. Are blokes immune, then? Because I looked no different at all.

Anything else? Alas, merciless teasing by my missus meant that, ironically, even with no needle, I still felt a bit of a prick.

$99 for four treatments, freeze-frame.com
