With all the attention on Harry and Meghan, how is Prince William - second in line to the throne - juggling life and duty?
It must be somewhat galling for The Palace to hear Prince William – the second in line to the throne – referred to as “the other brother”. But all attention is on Harry and his wife Meghan; they have dominated the airwaves and public debate, leaving William in the shade, fending off his younger brother’s claims he is “trapped”.
Perhaps William likes to be out of the spotlight but he’s also keenly aware of the need to modernise the royal family. It’s a job that will fall to him. The Sunday Times royal correspondent Roya Nikkhah has spoken to close friends of the future king who say he’s embracing his destiny. As Roya says, the job of being the heir to the heir to the throne, of finding a balance between life and duty, is difficult at the best of times. “These are not the best of times.”
