Clutch fashion glue: Road Test
Ever felt the need to stick clothes to your skin? This product’s for you: a water-soluble glue that’s touted as “liquid fashion tape”.
WHAT IS IT? A water-based adhesive that’s designed to stick clothes to your body. Think of it as “liquid fashion tape”.
YOU’VE LOST ME ALREADY. It’s a glue that you apply to your skin in areas where you want the garment to stay in place. Like a plunging neckline on a dress, say.
I’M A MAN WHO LIKES TO PRACTISE YOGA IN PUBLIC SPACES WHILE WEARING HIGH-CUT SATIN SHORTS. CAN I USE CLUTCH TO PREVENT (OR AT LEAST CUT DOWN THE NUMBER OF) AHEM, NUTSACK MISHAPS? Sure! The creative brains behind Clutch – two sisters from Sydney – insist it has many uses, including “keeping shirt cuffs rolled up” and “nipping in a shapeless silk dress”.
HOW ABOUT USING IT TO KEEP A HAT ON MY HEAD IN A STRONG WIND? I’VE ALWAYS USED JAM FOR THAT, BUT I END UP COVERED IN ANTS. Look, how about you just ask serious questions?
OK. HOW DOES IT WORK? Apply it to the skin sparingly, wait 30 seconds until the glueis tacky, then press your garment gently in place for a few minutes. Afterwards, simply peel it off and rinse with water.
