Clarisonic Mia 2: Road Test

Think of the Clarisonic Mia 2 as like a giant electrical toothbrush. Only, you don’t put it in your mouth.

What is it?

A “sonic cleansing system” for your face.

Eh? It’s a hand-held device with a round brush that vibrates with “sonic frequencies of 300 oscillations per second”.

I’m still confused. Imagine a giant electric toothbrush. Instead of putting it in your mouth, you caress your face with it. It’s designed to deep-clean your pores.

Sounds like nonsense. It can’t be nonsense. Clarisonic says it’s the No.1 recommendation of “aestheticians and spa professionals”. Those people know what they’re talking about.

Anything else? It’s rechargeable and waterproof, so you can take it into the shower. Why you’d want to take this smooth, 300-oscillations-a-second gizmo into the shower is anyone’s guess. I mean, there’s a soap and flannel right there.
