BuzzMe honey energy drink: Road Test
This energy drink is made of natural ingredients, and is refreshing and delicious, with a mild narcotic head rush.
What is it?
An “energy drink” made with nature’s own pick-me-up: honey. It’s the brainchild of Clayridge Honey, a family-run firm based near beautiful Jervis Bay, NSW.
What’s it for? BuzzMe will “boost, revive, revitalise and energise you”, Clayridge says. “It gives you wings” would have been just perfect, but Red Bull got there first.
Ingredients? Honey, guarana (a natural source of caffeine), ginseng (a root beloved by druids) and tropical fruit. It has no preservatives or colouring, and “no added sugar”, either.
Tasting notes: Clean, refreshing, delicious. And five minutes after chugging a bottle, whoa, a giddy, narcotic head-rush. A glance at the label reveals why: there’s 30g of “naturally occurring sugars” in every 330ml bottle! Too cute by half.
