Healy fires early Ashes warning shot

Not even Sydney’s wet weather could stop Alyssa Healy from firing a warning shot to England on the eve of the Ashes, before rain stopped her from a return to a familiar role.

Wild storms have wreaked havoc across parts of Sydney, with fallen trees blocking roads and causing chaos as much of the state battles wild winds and heavy rainfall. , Residents in NSW made 57 calls for assistance to the SES on Monday, mostly due to trees falling onto power lines, roads and houses. Emergency services were called to Ocean Ave in Double Bay shortly after midnight on Tuesday morning after reports a tree had fallen across the road during the wild storms. Wild storms cause chaos in one state

Chaotic scenes are unfolding across NSW as wild thunderstorms and heavy rain wreaks havoc on the majority of the state, with more wet weather on the way.
