He convincingly defeated his Republican opponent.

Wimbish called himself a candidate who was “Christian, conservative, constitutionalist”.

Frost is now the youngest member of Congress in modern US history. As he is the youngest person elected since 1964 when Jed Johnson Jr. won his seat just days after his 25th birthday.

The new politician will stand out in the House where the average age of members is now 58-years-old. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is 82.

Frost replaces Republican firebrand, 27-year-old Madison Cawthorn, who lost his re-election bid to contest the Midterms after a short 12-month long political career marked by various controversies including allegations of insider trading and leaked nudes.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was the youngest woman ever elected to Congress. She was 29 when she took her seat in 2019.
