Hello there, it's Friday eve,

Don't panic, World War III hasn't started but the ground, especially around eastern Europe, continues to be fertile for conflict.

Two people were reportedly killed on Tuesday in the town of Przewodow in southeastern Poland near the Ukrainian border.

The deaths came a day after Russia launched a heavy missile strike on Ukraine as part of the ongoing war between the two eastern European countries.

It is not known where the missile came from or whether it was deliberate. The Polish authorities say the bomb “fell” on their territory.

Our PM is shocked and condemned Russia’s “reckless and dangerous use of force”, expressed his condolences to European leaders and is now backing calls for a full investigation before an “appropriate response”.

NATO and the Polish president said it appears that a Ukrainian air defence missile against a Russian barrage most likely caused the deadly explosion.

He's back

Donald Trump would like to the President of the United States again.

He announced he'll be running in the primaries in two years time.

He'll be 78.

However as the Democrats still control the US Senate, following the Midterm elections, that inquiry and investigation into the January 6 insurrection will continue. So too will the Department of Justice's review into why he had classified documents at Mar-a-Lago from his time in the Oval Office.

You know it's bad when even your own family aren't interested.

Ivanka won't be heading back to the Hill if he's successful.

But it was his eldest son Donald Jr. was one of the most notable absences during the hour long event.

The only family members who did attend the event included Eric Trump and Barron Trump, his daughter-in-law Lara Trump and former first lady Melania Trump.

Deliveroo is cooked

Back to cooking we go I guess as almost 120 staff and as many as 15,000 riders have been sacked after Deliveroo Australia shut its app and closed its doors on Wednesday after the company’s British parent placed it into administration.

Deliveroo said the Australian operations were not profitable and could not continue without substantial financial investment to support the delivery platform.

The Deliveroo app has been switched off and orders cannot be placed through the platform, customers attempting to use the app were met with a message saying “there’s been a problem”.

Morrison would never

The G20 is wrapping up and Albanese has been busy pressing the flesh with our mates like the UK, Indonesia, India and - following our recently repaired kinship - the French.

He's also probably dented that with him pressing his thumb a little too enthusiastically on the home button.

After some "productive" discussions around trade, defence and climate change, Albanese uploaded this selfie to his Instagram which comments suggest he did not get group approval for.

Considering Emmanuel Macron travels with his own private photographer at all times, this #friends hashtag may soon be edited.

Scott Morrison may have sunk the subs deal, so Albo buried that hatchet and then may have drowned our reconciliation via social media.

Get out now

After the lions escaping escapades, Taronga Zoo was probably looking forward to some quiet time instead of more crisis comms.

However one cheeky feathered friend is all about the chaos.

Ever since the lions tried to leave, a lyrebird at Sydney's Zoo has been mimicking the "evacuate now" ever since.

Now this is brave

The NBL's first openly gay player has come out to his teammates.

Melbourne United centre Isaac Humphries has come out as the first openly gay player in our top-tier men’s basketball league.

Humphries shared the news to his mates on Wednesday morning, posting a video of the moment online.

He also opened up the struggles he dealt with in coming to terms with his sexuality, revealing he even tried to take his own life several years ago.

He said he wanted to speak out about his struggles with his sexuality to show others who may be in the same position he was that everything will be ok.

He has been universally praised for his comments.

The World Cup is kicking off

And people, especially the media, are getting kicked off and out of things before the matches even started.

A Danish TV crew were ambushed live on air in Qatar overnight.

Meanwhile Team England is taking a strong stand against the country's stance against LGBTQI+ communities, where homosexuality is illegal.

Captain Harry Kane proudly wore the rainbow flag while the entire team flew on a chartered plane that was adorned with a cartoon of a man wearing rainbow-coloured shoes draped in the Union Jack.
