Tech's most fertile bachelor, Elon Musk, has added two new children to his roster.

The Tesla CEO and Shivon Zilis, the director of operations at Neuralink — which is co-founded and chaired by Musk, had twins. Zilis is considered a juggernaut in the artificial intelligence industry and has been listed on Forbes' 30 under 30.

Zilis reportedly gave birth in November 2021, weeks before Musk and his former girlfriend, Canadian musician Grimes, welcomed their second child via surrogate. Who would have thought that the couple that named their children ‘Exa Dark Sideræl Musk’ and ‘X A.I. Archangel,’ would be into polyamory?

This brings Musk’s total spawn count to nine. He shares two children with Canadian musician Grimes, and five other kids with his previous wife, Canadian author Justine Wilson.

As Grimes mentioned in a Vanity Fair profile last year, Musk plans to depart for Mars in 10 years — perhaps he’s planning to bring a legion of grommets with him.

Court documents obtained by Insider showed that Musk and Zilis filed a petition to change the twins’ names to “have their father’s last name and contain their mother’s last name as part of their middle name”.

The petition, filed in Austin, Texas, where the babies were born, was approved by the judge.

In April, Elon Musk's 18-year-old daughter, Vivian Jenna Wilson, legally changed her name to sever ties with her father.

“I no longer live with or wish to be related to my biological father in any way, shape, or form,” she said in a petition for both a name change and a new birth certificate. She also changed her gender recognition from male to female after turning 18, the age of consent in California.

The Telsa CEO, and dad of eight, has been criticised for his comments on pronouns for non-binary and transgender people.

"I absolutely support trans, but all these pronouns are an aesthetic nightmare...Pronouns suck," he wrote in a 2020 tweet.
