10 must-see videos from Johnny V Amber

The Amber Heard v Johnny Depp trial extravaganza is taking a break.
After three weeks of the world's most-watched defamation case, Judge Penney Azcarate is attending a previously-organised conference, giving the courtroom a moment to regroup, before the much-anticipated cross-examination of Heard on Monday.
Heard spent last week giving her direct testimony, but Depp’s team will next week have the opportunity to ask her questions.
“As Mr Depp’s counsel correctly predicted in their opening statements last month, Ms Heard did indeed deliver ‘the performance of her life’ in her direct examination,” a statement from Depp’s camp read. “The upcoming cross examination from Mr Depp’s team will be most telling, and will certainly highlight the many fallacies Ms Heard has now attempted to pass off as fact throughout her convoluted testimony.”
The official livestreams may have paused for the week, but the ones flooding social media sure haven’t.
Depp’s fans have stormed Instagram and TikTok with snippets from the case in favour of the Pirates of the Caribbean star. Meanwhile, it’s difficult to find any pro-Amber content online, at all.
While the court is on pause, we’ve collected the 10 must-see videos you may have missed from the trial so far.
Depp’s lawyers celebrate Heard’s Kate Moss reference
In a clip that later went viral, Heard recounted an alleged fight between Depp and her sister Whitney on a staircase, during which she referenced Depp’s former relationship with model Kate Moss.
“(Whitney) threw herself in the line of fire,” Heard recalled of the alleged 2015 incident between Depp and her sister. “She was trying to get Johnny to stop. Her back was to the staircase, and Johnny swings at her… I don’t hesitate and wait. I instantly think of Kate Moss and stairs.”
Heard compared the fight to a well-known rumour about Depp pushing Moss down the stairs during their relationship.
While seemingly bad news for Team Depp, the actor celebrated as his lawyer, Ben Chew, fist pumped in the direction of one of his colleagues.
Defamation lawyer Michael Finch said this was because Heard “opened the door” to allow “further examination” on the incident.
In a defamation case, lawyers can’t bring up someone’s prior bad acts, and show that as evidence, Finch told The Oz.
“In this instance, which had not been brought into evidence before. By Heard bringing that in, it introduced a whole new line of inquiry,” the partner at Rostron Carlyle Rojas said.
By bringing up the incident, Heard gave Depp the opportunity to disprove the rumour and claim Heard as untrustworthy. Depp’s team may also call Moss to the stand to disprove the rumour herself.
Out of Heard’s testimony, a TikTok trend was borne
The latest trend dominating your TikTok feed features a sound track of Heard claiming Depp slapped her in the face, she “turned to look at him” and then said “Johnny, you hit me.”
Users attempt to debunk her claims by proving if she turned around after she was slapped, she would in fact be looking the other way.
Perhaps not the most compelling argument against Heard.
Depp may (or may not) have fat-shamed Heard
It's up for debate.
The internet went nuts over Heard's lawyer
Elaine Bredehoft may not be the most compelling lawyer in the courtroom, but she sure is the most entertaining.
Depp bangs cabinets in a drunken rage
The jury were shown a video taken by Heard of Depp smashing cabinets in a drunken fury.
"Motherfucker! Motherfucker!" the video goes, as Depp stomps around the kitchen, punching the wall.
Questioned about the video, Depp admitted he "did assault a couple of cabinets, but I did not touch Miss Heard."
A jar of... dirt?
Depp fans went to town when Heard accused him of carrying cocaine in a jar, comparing it to another time he had carried a powdery substance in a glass container.
Depp’s witness refuses to be shaken
Forensic psychologist Shannon Curry wined and dined with the actor before the trial took place, which Team Amber declared to indicate potential bias.
But Curry claimed the dinner was just part of the interview process.
Depp's bromance with his lawyer
TikTok is obsessed.
That time a make-up brand tried to throw-off Heard’s defence
A 15-second vid from make-up brand Milani Cosmetics seemingly undermined Heard’s key defence against Depp.
During the trial’s opening statements last month, Heard’s lawyer Elaine Bredehoft said that the actress carried Milani Conceal + Perfect All-in-One Correcting Kit with her throughout her “entire relationship with Johnny”.
The attorney said Heard used concealer and foundation to cover facial injuries caused from Depp’s alleged physical abuse, and went as far as to proudly present the make-up compact to the jury.
But when the team at Milani saw the testimony, they smelled a rat.
“You asked us… let the record show that our Correcting Kit launched in 2017!👀” the caption on the brand’s TikTok read.
Flick to a snippet of Milani headquarters, where a woman carries a company product catalogue, and flips it open the page describing the makeup compact.
The camera then jumps to a powerpoint presentation to prove the product's 2017 release date — meaning it was released after Heard filed for divorce, and she couldn’t have used it during the alleged abuse.
Amber allegedly pauses to let the media take a photo of her crying
Again, up for debate.
