Grand finalists Penrith and the Broncos dominate the NRL’s top-50 players, a list of stars selected on form this year rather than reputation.

The usual top 10 players, Cameron Munster, Latrell Mitchell, James Tedesco and Cody Walker have dramatically slipped down the pecking order.

Two clubs – St George Illawarra and the Canterbury Bulldogs – don’t have a player.

The easiest selection was Nathan Cleary at number one after arguably the greatest grand final performance from a halfback in the history of the game.
