Manly and the Warriors have thrown a spanner in the works just as the hunt for finals heats up.

After a rocky start to the season, four-time NRL champions Penrith are charging into top four considerations causing headaches and recalculations for the rest of the competition.

Fresh off the bye, Brisbane are also on the hunt to finish in the top four, but if Manly and the Warriors keep winning it could scupper any plans for a second bite of the cherry in the finals.
