Sydney trainer Bjorn Baker has rewarded progressive Point And Shoot with a shot at the Group 1 Australian Guineas (1600m) on Saturday at Flemington.
The consistent Blue Point gelding has campaigned through summer and not missed a place in six starts, won three including back-to-back Randwick romps in benchmark grade.
“Point And Shoot will go to the Australian Guineas,” Baker confirmed.
“The horse seems really bright and well.
“I’ve galloped him a couple of times left-handed and been thrilled with him.”

Baker, who has booked Damian Lane for the ride, could not be any happier with the three-year-old.
“He’s been in dominant form over the mile,” Baker said.
“He’s going to have three weeks between runs and although it is hard to weigh up the form he’s going really well.”
Point And Shoot is an $8 third favourite for the Australian Guineas behind standout Victorian colt Angel Capital ($3.50) and dominant Group 3 CS Hayes winner Sepals ($5.50).
Point And Shoot will travel to Melbourne on Thursday and stay with trainers Trent Busuttin and Natalie Young at Cranbourne.

“This is my normal practice,” Baker said.
“I like to keep them at home until the last minute and it is a system that has worked for us in the past.”
Baker has stakes-placed Midnight Dynamite slated for the $1m Inglis Sprint (1200m) on Saturday at Flemington.
“Midnight Dynamite will go down for the Inglis Sprint,” Baker said.
“Ben Melham will ride him and this three-year-old has some very good form so he goes there as a definite chance.”
