Cricket star Babar Azam embroiled in bizarre internet sex scandal

Explosive allegations Pakistan’s captain Babar Azam sexted his teammate’s girlfriend have gone viral, but not everything is as it seems.

Pakistan’s superstar cricket captain Babar Azam has been embroiled in a bizarre internet scandal after false accusations he sexted a teammate’s girlfriend went viral.

The explosive allegations that Babar had been caught sexting the girlfriend of a teammate and had even promised that her partner’s position in the Pakistan team would be safe if she continued the sexting relationship were posted by verified Twitter account Dr Nimo Yadav along with allegedly intimate images of the cricketing great.

However, Dr Yadav’s Twitter profile says it’s a parody account, and hours after dropping the bombshell, Dr Yadav lashed Indian media who had picked up his fake news and run with it as a legitimate sex scandal.

Azam appeared to respond to the furore with a cryptic post on Twitter where he captioned a photo of him standing in front of the Sydney Harbour Bridge with the words; ““Doesn’t take too much to be happy.”

The internet was divided over whether the world’s No. 1 all-format batsman was in fact in hot water over a series of leaked video and voice recordings, or whether he was the victim of an elaborate hoax.

“Babar Azam sexting with GF of another Pakistan cricketer and promising her that her bf won’t be out of the team if she keeps sexting with him is just. I hope Allah is watching this,” Dr Yadav tweeted.

However, later the same Twitter account announced it had deleted the original tweet after receiving a DM from an unnamed Indian cricketer and apologised to Babar Azam’s Twitter account directly.

“I am sorry @babarazam258, I have deleted that post on the request of an Indian cricketer in DM. Peace.”

Despite his potentially defamatory post, Dr Yadav then proceeded to lambust media sits for running with his attempt at satire.

“What a clown media we have, mirror now telecasted a dedicated show based on my satirical tweet and put nasty allegations on Babar Azam without even verifying the source of the news (me),” Dr Yadav tweeted.

“I was the one who started bf in team story, this was fake. Apologise to Babar.”

In another post, Yadav said: “Have never seen such a fool journalist, this is a pathetic campaign Indian media is running against Babar without any evidence.”

It is unclear whether the topless video, images and voice recordings of Babar in intimate conversation with an unnamed woman are legitimate.

The authenticity of the material remains unclear.

But the accusations he was engaged in an internet affair with the girlfriend of a teammate appears to have been a bizarre attempt at a joke.

There was blanket coverage of the supposed sex scandal across Indian and Pakistani news media.

Babar has been embroiled in off-field controversy before.

In 2020, a sexual harassment case was filed against Babar, but was ultimately withdrawn the following year.

It is unclear whether Babar is currently in Sydney or whether it is an old photo.
