If there’s something Jono Castano knows, it’s how to build a killer body. Recognised for his work with celebrities around the globe – including homegrown comedian Rebel Wilson and her highly publicised body transformation – Castano has become one of Australia’s most notable fitness coaches.

The incredibly successful personal trainer, who also counts pop star Rita Ora as a client, has worked with brands like BMW and Reebok and is the Men‘s Health Body Transformation Coach. It’s no surprise that clients are flocking to the Colombian-born trainer’s Sydney gym, ACERO.

While his passion for health and fitness are major drivers of his success, Castano knows that having the right gym equipment is an important element to keep his clients motivated.

“For me, using top quality equipment that is reliable and looks good definitely adds more comfortability to any workout,” Castano says. “I choose Technogym is because in my experience, it has been the best equipment I have used”

Castano is not alone in seeking out the famed Italian brand as his equipment of choice.

Known globally as “The Wellness Company,” Technogym has operated at the intersection of technology and fitness to revolutionise the way we work out for almost half a century and for the last two decades. It has been the official supplier of fitness equipment and digital technologies for Olympians from all around the world, right up to the Tokyo Olympics. In 2000s Sydney Games alone, there were more than 10,000 athletes training using Technogym equipment.

Founded in 1983, the brand found widespread acclaim in less than a decade. Collaborating with internationally renowned sportsmen like Formula 1 drivers Ayrton Senna and Michael Schumacher, and partnering with the 1990 Football World Cup, there’s no doubt that Technogym has, since its inception, been ahead of the game.

While ACERO gym is seeing no shortage of new clients, Castano recognises that clients are increasingly interested in the freedom that having top of the range gym equipment in the home can bring. The necessity of home-based workouts that began during Covid has opened up new possibilities.

“If you are time poor, having easy access to equipment is what can be the factor in whether you exercise or not,” he says.

Recognising this change, Technogym has evolved its enviable reputation for form and function into a new personal line, created expressly for the home gym.

With incredible Italian design elements like micropolished steel and full grain leather, the line includes a treadmill, bike, elliptical, recline bike, all offering on-machine e-training, and seamless connection to phones, smartwatches or Stravas allows you to track your workouts.

But the pièce de résistance of the line is, perhaps, the Kinesis Personal. Aesthetically, its lavish American oak — a decorative element that stays consistent across the entire Personal Line — is a wonderful treat for the eyes. But more importantly, with over 200 exercises, it’s guaranteed to be much more interesting than your average sweat session.

The integration of training app, Technogym Live, into all of its products has been a game-changer for the range. Castano, whose own experience as a fitness influencer — with more than 800,000 followers on Instagram — says that the app has “enhanced” the working out experience.

Providing a diverse suite of exercises that are suited for all fitness levels from beginner to advanced, the app puts a personalised coach right at your fingertips. It can also be used in conjunction with other Technogym strength and cardio equipment; on its own for bodyweight workouts, or to cool down with Yoga and stretching.

With 700+ workouts, it’s by all means the ultimate motivator, and for Castano’s clients, “it’s great because they can make the most of their equipment at home.”

For Castano, whose career navigates the blended worlds of socialised fitness and tech, the key to a healthy lifestyle is consistency.

Show up every day, and the rewards will come.

“If you‘re consistent and you’re getting amazing results then it’s just going to continue to show, even if it’s not just in your appearance, but it’s also going to help in bringing out the best in you,“ he says.

A home gym with the most beautiful equipment, loaded with engaging workouts, is Technogym’s commitment to your fitness journey.
