Remember this old line on Donald Trump? Barack Obama campaigning for Hillary Clinton in Ohio, November 2, 2016:

Donald Trump is uniquely unqualified to be president.

Democratic politicians kept rolling it out. Former vice president (and rumoured 2020 candidate) Joe Biden in Pennsylvania, August 16, 2016:

This man is totally, thoroughly unqualified.

So, meet the frontrunner for the 2020 Democratic nomination ... Caroline Overington writes for The Australian online, yesterday:

... should she do it? Run? After that speech at the Golden Globes yesterday, everyone’s asking that question ... Oprah is the real deal.

That’s right. Oprah Winfrey. This one. The American TV icon’s self-titled talk show, September 20, 2004:

You get a car. You get a car. You get a car. You get a car. You get a car. You get a car. Everybody gets a car.

Now, Oprah did give an amazing speech at the Golden Globes about sexual harassment. Winfrey at the Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s annual ceremony, Monday:

I’ve interviewed and portrayed people who’ve withstood some of the ugliest things life can throw at you, but the one quality all of them seem to share is an ability to maintain hope ... I want all the girls watching here, now, to know that a new day is on the horizon!

We thought we didn’t want celebrity presidents who had no government or military experience? Hollywood comedian Josh Gad writes for Variety, July 26, 2016:

I’m supporting Hillary Clinton, because I think she will not only be a good president; she is in my lifetime the most qualified person to run for the presidency.

Meh. Josh Gad on Twitter, yesterday:

That hangover you feel this morning, the one that gives you a pit of hopefulness in your stomach, is called #Oprah2020

Hollywood is fawning as usual. Meryl Streep after the Golden Globes ceremony, Monday:

She launched a rocket tonight. I want her to run for president ... I don’t think she had any intention (of declaring). But now she doesn’t have a choice.

Ellen DeGeneres on Twitter, Monday:

I love Oprah #GoldenGlobes

Whatever happened to experience? DeGeneres speaking to Hillary Clinton on the former’s talk show, September 10, 2015:

You are the smartest, most qualified person for this job.

Democratic operatives aren’t acting any better. Obama chief adviser David Axelrod on Twitter, yesterday:

Oprah is a force of nature.

Obama speechwriter Jon Favreau on Twitter, yesterday:

Oprah Winfrey is as brilliant and inspiring as any public figure today ... Don’t underestimate her.

Democratic strategist Van Jones on CNN’s Anderson Cooper program, yesterday:

The question is does she want to be demoted from queen of the universe to president of the United States?

Then again, this woman also thinks Oprah is a winner ... Ivanka Trump on Twitter, yesterday:

Just saw @Oprah’s empowering & inspiring speech at last night’s #GoldenGlobes.
